LIGONIER VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL WENT INTO SOFT LOCKDOWN YESTERDAY

Ligonier Valley Middle School went into a soft lockdown yesterday.  Superintendent Matthew Mols said in a statement to the district community that around 1:50 PM, an outside contractor was unfamiliar with the school campus and was trying to meet with the buildings and grounds department when he tried to enter the school.  That triggered the lockdown.  Ligonier Valley police were called in and were able to resolve the situation.  The contractor got their meeting with the Buildings and Grounds department and the lockdown was lifted.
