SAINT VINCENT COLLEGE LEADERS LOOKING INTO CAMPUS INCIDENT

Leaders at Latrobe’s Saint Vincent College are looking into an incident involving a group of students and a campus security officer from last week.  Freshman Nahaylo Clavel tells KDKA-TV he and four friends were in a dorm watching the Steelers game last Thursday night when security claimed they smelled marijuana and demanded a search.  The student says a member of the group did not consent to a pat-down and was then grabbed by an officer and the security worker jumped on the back of one of the students because he got scared and ran.  Clavel adds that no marijuana was found and he now wants the security officer removed.  A Saint Vincent spokesperson says the encounter is under review.
