JEANNETTE WOMAN SENTENCED TO PROBATION

A woman who pleaded guilty to charges of reckless endangerment was sentenced Tuesday in Westmoreland County Court.  The Trib reports that 32-year-old Brittany Zimmerman will serve a year of probation in exchange for the guilty plea.  The charge was in connection with a February 2020 incident where a four-year-old girl was hospitalized with several injuries after Jeannette police said that Zimmerman was watching her.  The girl told investigators in June about several alleged instances of abuse involving Zimmerman, including being pushed down the staircase while in a basket.
