FIRE LEAVES NORTH HUNTINGDON FAMILY HOMELESS

A fire has left a North Huntingdon family homeless.  The Trib reports that the fire along Broadway Street was reported on Tuesday at 1:45 PM.  The fire appears to have started in the rear of the house or on the porch, and the cause is under investigation.  The Buckholz family were not hurt, but one of their cats was killed in the fire.  North Huntingdon officials condemned the house.  The American Red Cross is helping the family and a gofundme has also been set up to help recover from the fire and to ease some of the medical expenses as the wife, AnnaJean,  has been diagnosed with liver cancer and an autoimmune liver disease.
