Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday is warning residents about cryptocurrency scams through a new statewide awareness campaign. Warning signs are being placed at Bitcoin and cryptocurrency ATMs, reminding people to stop before sending money to someone demanding payment. Officials say scammers often pose as government agencies, offer fake investments or use online romances to pressure victims, with nearly 300 crypto-related complaints reported last year. Sunday says police, courts and banks will never demand payment through a cryptocurrency kiosk. Anyone who believes they’ve been targeted is urged to stop sending money and contact the Attorney General’s Office.
