EARTH, WIND & FIRE DRUMMER PLACED IN MEDICALLY INDUCED COMA

Earth, Wind & Fire drummer John Paris had to be placed in a medically induced coma following a medical emergency earlier this month.

Paris was hospitalized on August 6th just before the band was set to preform with Lionel Richie in San Francisco. An update shared to Facebook on Friday by the wife of Earth, Wind & Fire bassist Verdine White said doctors placed Paris in an induced coma on arrival at the hospital so they could provide critical care.

The statement added that John remained resting under sedation and that his “journey is far from over.”
