Members of the First United Methodist Church in Irwin held a prayer vigil last night outside the church as it remains closed from last week’s storms. KDKA-TV reports that the church remains closed after a sewage flood on the bottom floor of the church. The closure is not only affecting services, but also programs like the food pantry and alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous. Not only did the prayers focus on the church and its community, but others. No word on when the church will reopen.
