VIGILANTE GROUP HOLDS PROTEST CALLING FOR WESTMORELAND COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY TO STEP DOWN

A vigilante group that goes after child predators online is calling for the Westmoreland County district attorney to step down.  Members of the 8-1-4 Pred Hunters organization held a protest outside DA Nicole Ziccarelli’s office yesterday.  The group’s founder, Brian Knepp, says he and his partners have turned over evidence against seven individuals who have looked to exploit children online and that Ziccarelli has failed to prosecute them.  The DA’s office has released a statement, saying these cases are complex and various decisions are made based on the need to protect victims while holding offenders accountable.
