WESTMORELAND COUNTY JUDGE THREATENS TO DISMISS CHARGES AGAINST SALEM TOWNSHIP MAN CHARGED WITH TRYING TO KILL LANDLORD

A Westmoreland County Judge has threatened to dismiss charges filed against a man charged with trying to kill his landlord.  The Trib reports that Judge Christopher Feliciani said he would consider sanctions against county prosecutors if they do not turn over key evidence to the attorneys for James Sever in the next two months.  Sever is charged in two cases where he is allegedly set two bombs meant to kill people.  One was under the lawnmower of his former landlord who evicted Sever in June of 2025 and the second was on a rented pickup that sat in the driveway of a relative in West Newton.  Sever, who has had addresses in New Alexandria and Salem, has been held in jail without bond since his arrest last year.
