A flashing stop sign will be put in place in North Huntingdon at an intersection where a woman was hurt two years ago. The Trib reports that County Commissioners voted yesterday to put the sign in place at the intersection of Brokers Lane and Clay Pike. Police said Kathleen Morcheid, 37, of North Huntingdon was seriously injured when her vehicle was struck as she attempted to turn left onto Clay Pike on July 7, 2024. Investigators contend Morcheid’s Ford Escape almost completed the turn from Brokers Lane when another vehicle veered over the center line on Clay Pike and hit it nearly head-on. The sign will go up by the end of the year, pending PennDOT’s approval.
