South Huntingdon Township officials on Thursday approved a set of regulations for data center development. The Trib reports that Supervisors wanted to have the regulations in place to make sure that companies were held accountable for any impacts on air, water, noise and roads, and wanted to have it in place before any data center companies came into the township and applied for a permit. Some of the regulations in the ordinance include a setback from property lines, limits on the amount of light and the decibel level for any noise generated.
