WESTMORELAND CLEANWAYS AND RECYCLING TO REOPEN TOMORROW AFTER FLOOD CLEANUP

Westmoreland Cleanways and Recycling will reopen tomorrow after cleaning up from recent flooding.  The Trib reports that about 10 inches of water came into the facility’s warehouse and drive-through building on Sunday due to the heavy rains.  The mess resulted in a closure of the center to the public Monday through Wednesday while four full-time staffers cleaned out the mud, pressure-washed the buildings and filled ruts in the front lot and back area where recyclable items are dropped off.  The next day the facility is open to the public will be Friday.
