HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS USING MICROSURFACING TO MAINTAIN ROADS

Hempfield Township Supervisors are using microsurfacing to help maintain roads this year.  The Trib reports that 19 roads recently underwent the procedure to help streets that are structurally sound but were paved eight to 12 years ago.  Microsurfacing is a treatment applied to the surface of roads that creates a barrier and seals over any cracks.The work took about five business days and was finished in September, and extended the life of those roads by at least five years.
