At last night’s meeting, the Penn-Trafford School Board discussed an elementary school consolidation plan. The Trib reports that the plan involves closing McCullough Elementary and reworking the grade levels in the remaining buildings. The plan was brought forward after budget concerns were brought forward to the board in September. The board is considering the measure as a way to cut costs, as the closure could save the district about $1.3 million a year.
