A South Greensburg man was sentenced yesterday in connection with a robbery at a convenience store in Hempfield. The Trib reports that 29-year-old Matthew Shashura pleaded guilty yesterday to robbery, reckless endangerment, simple assault and theft. On December 16, state police arrested him after he robbed the Par Mar store and threatened the clerk with a claw hammer before making off with $300 in cash and $20 in gas from the BP station. Surveillance video showed he dropped one of those cards inside the store. Troopers found the EBT card and identified Shashura from it. Shashura will serve two to four years in state prison and two years of probation on his release.
