Further details released on the agreement between Arnold Palmer Regional Airport and Breeze Airways showed that the carrier was promised $1.3 million in Government Funding. The Trib reports that state and county officials did say the substantial government package was needed to attract the Utah-based carrier. In mid-September, the Westmoreland County authority secured an $850,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to serve as revenue guarantees for an unidentified airline to resume service from Palmer. Another $500,000 in state funding was secured by State Senate Pro Tempore Kim Ward. Breeze on Feb. 9 will begin to operate twice-weekly flights to Myrtle Beach and will begin two flights a week to Orlando on May 26.
