ONE KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED IN LANDSLIDE ON GREAT ALLEGHENY PASSAGE

A woman was killed and another person was hurt in a landslide on the Great Allegheny Passage trail near Connellsville on Saturday.  The Trib reports that the two were biking a part of the trail that parallels the Youghiogheny River just south of Connellsville.  Fayette County Coroner Dr. Bob Baker said the woman was a 76-year-old from Florida.  Her name was not released as they are trying to find next of kin.  The other victim was flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter.  The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is handling the investigation.
