Pennsylvania treasurer and candidate for governor Stacy Garrity is calling for legal skill games in the state. Garrity appeared at a rally held by skill game operators in Green Tree Borough on Saturday and shared her plan for how the machines would be regulated. She says she wants to allow 50-thousand games across the state taxed at 500 dollars per unit each month. Governor Shapiro also discussed plans for legalizing and regulating machines during the debate on WPXI-TV earlier this month, saying he is pushing for 45-thousand games taxed at 52-percent. Skill games are illegal at the moment as Pennsylvania lawmakers failed to adopt legislation allowing for their usage. Some business owners say the sudden end of revenue from skill games is leading to layoffs.
