The Westmoreland County Industrial Development Authority has tabled a request for help from a proposed asphalt plant to secure up to $10 million in bond financing. The Trib reports that the decision will allow the authority time to review the application and public comments about the project before making a decision. The plant is scheduled to open in the spring, and is expected to be the first phase of expanding the operations of construction firm A. Liberoni to East Huntingdon. A public hearing is set for Thursday on the issue.
