WESTMORELAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS WARRANT SERVICE

The Westmoreland County Sheriff’s office has temporarily suspended warrant service.  The Trib reports that while Sheriff James Albert said they are reorganizing over the next few days.  While Albert did not offer further comment, documents obtained by the Trib showed the sergeant in charge of the division, Irvin Shipley, was suspended on October 21st for a “pending investigation”.  Shipley could not be reached for comment.  This comes after the improper jailing of Larry Miller, Jr. of Jeanette earlier this month.
