HERMINIE MAN TO SERVE UP TO 12 YEARS

A Herminie man will serve up to 12 years in prison for a hatchet attack and sexual assault in 2024 in Hempfield.  The Trib reports that 34-year-old Kyle Joseph Blair pleaded guilty to charges in two cases on Wednesday involving the same victim.  Police said Bair hit his victim with a hatchet following a verbal argument on July 7, 2024, after the then couple returned to a Hempfield home from a party they attended in Unity.  In a separate case seven months later, the same victim claimed he was sexually assaulted by Bair while he was asleep.
